Hello, I am studying at Milwaukee Institute of Art and design for illustration, So naturally I was hooked when I first saw this game. Its quite gorgeous and often times simply admire it as a interactive artwork rather then a game. Your characters are some of the most bizarre and original I have seen in a game and I have to ask Where did you come up with these characters?
Anyway wonderful job its cool when you can actually talk to the developers about their creation. |

Hi there! Even though the art was developed by different people in the team (under the direction of Edmundo, our Art Director), there were a lot of sources of inspiration. I think the most important ones were John Blanche's illustrations and the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch:
Here's a link to some of those sources in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Blanche http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hieronymus_Bosch I'd also say 'The Dark Crystal' film was an important source of inspiration. You might want to check it out. |
