How about, Golem is pretty much a puppet/messenger being controlled by the big guy. One of the only ways for Golem to know everything about Ghat and Deadra and pretty much everyone else is through that guy.
That might have been how he knew Hunter was very close and how hes been watching while being unconscious/off. |

Seeing as the end of the world is a dark and evil place, where the statue beings reign, this could mean they are the "bad guys" in the story... Also because they don't stand the light in general, which is a clear sign of evil in most stories. And Golem being their prisoner means he is with the forces of good. It might be that Golem wants to fight those statue people, and he needs allies (fighters/warriors, we are in a fight game after all) to help him. And this is why he is interested in the children of FM clan, because they can help him defeat his enemies. If I am right, then Zeno Clash 2 we will explore the land of the statues and discover many strange places and objects, and maybe creatures too... While we try to stop the statue people from whatever they are trying to do. I also guess that there will be more group vs group fights in ZC2, because the "pain link" used by Golem has to be integrated in the game mechanics somehow. |

I think that golem is creating this bond with other people to make them fight for him. Think about this: if golem gets hurt the people he linked with get hurt, so the people he has linked with don't want him to get hurt. So they fight to keep him safe. In this way he can controll their actions a little

In the end of the game you see a "Golem-like" person, you have talked about that the "progress" of the rubiks cube sends info to his master, can this be him?
In Garry's Mod his model name is something like "model/characers/golem_watcher(.mdl)" Can this mean he "watches" what Golem does or "Golem is watching"?... Maybe the rubiks cube aside of him moves when the other Golem moves his and he was searching for Golem since he told him he was coming home...
