When will Zeno clash have the update that will disable auto lock? Options

Just purchased this game and I really like it, however auto lock is really god damn annoying, as few things are frustrating as loosing a fight because you can't turn around to punch the person behind you because you are locked on the person in front of you. I searched the forums and found an old Thread where an ACE admin said that the game would eventually be patched, that was in 2009, it is now 2012, will Zeno clash be updated to remove auto lock on? Please?

I don't think Zeno Clash will be receiving any more updates at this stage.
Which thread are you referring to though? I found this one and this post seems to say that auto locking is an option.

This was patched at the very beginning...

Options -> Keyboard -> Enable Auto Locking

...but...

I reccomend playing the game using the targeting option (even if you don't want the auto-target) since close combat works much better this way (especially for combos and elude counterattacks). Remember that you can break from a locked opponent by simply running backwards.
