Hello! Free weekend player and new customer here!

So. Inviting someone else into my RoA game doesnt work. I can play public matches and rely on the matchmaker to find me a match dandy fine perfectly. Then I tried to hook in a friend.

When I try to join his game with the game closed, I get a strange error message (could not join map +createlobby, want to load the default map?) If the game's already open, it gets stuck on "Joining..." without actually joining anything.

This happens whether me or my friend try to join. I'm trying to test if it happens with other friends. Anyone ever came across a similar issue?

Hmm apparently there's a problem with invites. Strange we didn't see it before. For now I got it to work this way:

Create a Private lobby with "Game can join other lobbies" set to disabled. Ask your friend to join from the main menu if possible.

We'll look into this and probably address it for the next patch.

Tried that. The invided party gets stuck on a 'Joining' screen, while the lobby host never even seems to recieve a message from him. Tried with three different people so far.

Now, I'll be fair; I heard the game screens out bad connection qualities.
I'm in Rio de Janeiro, Brazi. I tried to connect to São Paulo, Cambridge and.. somewhere in the Netherlands. I still could play with other people on random matches though. I'll try to lure other people into helping me to see if I'll get a bigger testing pool, but I wouldnt hold my breath. I dont know that much people.

Hmm, I think the problem falls into that area... Still, there's definitely an issue with the system right now, so we'll be doing some improvements for the next patch.

For the record, I tried with two other people in the Rio de Janeiro area. With one of them, the game Tried to join (it went 'Found game' on the other side, when they hosted, but then it promptly said I disconnected. then it failed to connect every time)

That aside, the game plays great, I mean. Two thumbs up. Patch or not, I already got my copy. smile.gif
