Today was a pretty surreal day. We had several earthquakes in the day (yes... as weird as that sounds, it is true).

This data is taken from a website that records the latest earthquakes in the world (in real time). The following is just 1 day!

For the record: ACE Team is located right at LIBERTADOR O'HIGGINS, CHILE - In the epicenter of several of those registered earthquakes.

It was kind of a creepy day at the office. Every half an hour or so, another quake. With the big ones the more 'paranoid' guys in the office left the room ...ready to run downstairs (we're at a fourth floor). Many of us just passed them sitting at our desks. I think anyone in the rest of the world - if they saw what our work day was like today - they would think we were crazy.

Ground shakes... back to work as if nothing happened... ground shakes... back to work... etc... etc. So now you know why we chileans are so used to these things. We had a 6.9 followed by a 6.7 and didn't even call it a day (CNN and other reports said the first was a 7.2 in Richter scale). Anything below a 6 wont even make us blink. ohmy.gif

Wow, must have been a weird day. Closest thing we've had to an earthquake was a little shaking and a few things falling over. Was at night however, and me being a heavy sleeper, I barely noticed.

That's crazy. Earthquakes are obviously not a rare occurence, but is that many normal?

So many & so frequent isn't normal. Chile has been 'dancing' around quite a lot in the past weeks.

Glad it's over!

PS Have you got any ideas out of your recent experience with earthquakes, for ZC2? biggrin.gif

Well, you never know when it's over... we could have more quakes this week or in months. In Chile you always have some land movement periodically.

5.4 2010/03/14 07:31:25 -34.208 -71.739 35.0 LIBERTADOR O'HIGGINS, CHILE
(This was only today - 5.4 isn't much, but you never know when we might get something bigger)

Not really, but anything is possible in the strange lands of Zenozoik.

Someone just told me there'd been an earthquake in Chile and my first thought was this thread - could have sworn the last one was more recent...
Anyway, I guess ACE Team is all good and Rock of Ages 2 hasn't been delayed.

Everything good here. If it's not a 7.0 or higher it's business as usual...
