It kind of reminds me of "The Scarab of Ra". I used to play it at a friend's computer ages ago.

Nice game. I mostly enjoyed the responses it gave back to me when I tried to do stupid things, such as attempting to take the moon. smile.gif

Did you know that the moon belongs to a person in Chile? He registered it as his property! biggrin.gif

Guys, this game was totally awesome. An excellente addition to the uncommon experience that is Zeno Clash. You have only two games, and both are amazing. Grande muchachos!

Hell yes! I beat it.
Man this took me back to the days of seemingly endless sessions with "The Colony".

I finally got around to playing this the other day. Good fun, and one of the most difficult games I've played.

All of the friends I've made through the years have reminisced about their first video game consoles-usually a SNES or Nintendo 64, sometimes one of the Sega systems. My parents had no interest in buying my brother and I any video game consoles until much later. Our first was the original Playstation in 1999. So as a child, all the video games I played were on my family's Macintosh SE. Where most kids grew up with Zelda, Mario, and Sonic, I grew up with classics like Dark Castle, Through The Looking Glass, and Scarab Of Ra, along with a half dozen adventure games I can't even remember the names of after 20 years. To be able to play a game like those again means a lot to me. I see I'm almost four years late to the party, but I'm glad I checked out the board here, or I never would have found Malstrum's Mansion. This game is wonderful.

Now if only I could get that Mac SE to recognize Finder when it boots up... sad.gif

Shufflepuck cafe

I remember that! But I only played it on school computers, I never owned it myself.

The caveman on the right was always too hard to beat.

Biff (the caveman) was impossible! I've looked for this game on abandonware and I've only located the color versions for other computers (which didn't have digitized audio). I really wish I could find the Mac version... :-(

Ah, that sucks.
I tried the NES version last night through some website but it wasn't the same (I think you controlled the paddle with the mouse the Mac version).

Best version is the Mac version from the screenshot. I don't think a NES version would be very good (didn't know it was ported to NES).

You'd probably need an old Mac to run it on though wouldn't you?

There's an emulator. I can't remember the name, but I used to have it working.

We also have a Macintosh Classic here at the office, but I think it has booting problems...
