The concept for this is awesome, I'd love to get some people together and play this, but at the moment it's far from finished. There are a couple sections empty, and I was wondering if anyone would like to help fill them.

So, I started this thread, for discussion of Lands of Zenozoik.

The sections that are currently empty are:

-Races
-Items
-Setting
-GM'ing advice

--------------------------------

Humans, Ghat, Deadra, Rimat, etc. I think the race should have a name more fitting to the setting, though, "human" sounds too mundane.

I'm fairly sure Mechanic and Pott are both members of the same ogre-like race, but does Onpa fit in with them?

--------------------------------

So yeah. Hope my first post isn't the one that gets me the enmity of the forums, I'm saving that for later ;D.

Woah, someone noticed my ancient project! D:

Why, hello there, Dudebro! I'm Deloctyte, as you can see, and I've been the one responsible for that horribly incomplete system you see before you. If you're interested in some aditional info, I suggest you take a sneak peek at http://forums.aceteam.cl/index.php?showtop...8&st=0& , the old thread I used in the first place.

The system is still in the works, obviously, and if you ever have any handy little ideas, by all means, please share them here!

The reason why the project slowly stalled then got frozen, on my part, was a combination of real life kicking the doors in and the lack of feedback I got. With real life slowly cooling down once again, I might be able to revitalize the old scetches and plans I had, and finish this project... with a little help from anyone willing. smile.gif

Ofcourse, if you're ever up for any field testing, if even just through the messenger, please, let me know. It would help ever so much.

As always, any critique, view or feedback is aprecciated. ^^

So, in short: Yeah, I'd like to help. ;D

I'd love to do some testing. But, before then, we have to actually be able to make characters, which means we still need to make races, items, etc.

I'll write down any ideas I get through the next couple of days, and update here once I get the chance. I'm just glad to see some actual movement on this forum.

Yeah, these forums aren't exactly like oiled lightning when it comes to posting, but life does occasionally come to some threads.

I'm eagerly awaiting your ideas. Who knows, I might have a few myself. smile.gif

Alright: your basic, unborn, unformed character has 3 of every stat, along with 3 CP. Depending on race, they may gain in a certain stat, or lose in another.

I don't have any specific ideas for any race other than humans so far, but humans would just get an extra Combo Point or so. That's based on the fact that the two ingame characters that use the most combos (Ghat and Rimat) are both human.

That's all I've got for now, though.

An interesting idea. However, I would suggest the Humans to be the most generic and balanced, when it comes to starting stats. It's easier for beginners to ascociate with them, and it can then also be used as a template for the other races.
-------------

Here's a basic, unfinished overlay of how I planned the items to work like:
Items

Combat Items:

Most of these combat items have certain attributes that are used by the "Use Item" Action during combat. The most common ones are listed below. Whereas the more special tools will have their own summary.
-------
Attributes:
--------
Light Stab (X): Roll to hit. Add 1 to roll for each X PP you have. If hit, deal a Minor Bleeding Injury to target.

Deep Stab (X) : Roll to hit if not against stunned target. Add 1 to roll for each X M you have. If hit, deal a Major Bleeding Injury to target.

Bash (X): Roll to hit. Add 1 to roll for each 10 M you have. If hit, deal a Minor Injury to target for each 10 M you have, up to a maximum of X.

Bruise (X): Roll to hit. Add 1 to roll for each X M you have. If hit, one of the targets' limbs become useless until the end of battle.

Block(X): Reactive. Roll to succed. Add (X) to roll. If succeded, the opponents' attack becomes nullified, and you must clash your M+1d6 with him. If opponent wins, the item shatters.

Bladed: Reactive. When an item carrying this attribute is hit, roll 3 or greater to cause a minor injury to the attacker.

Slow(X): Weapon can only be used X rounds after it has been used before.
-------
A few items, as an example
-------

Name: Description: Weight:

Boxer: All hand attacks gain +2 M. |1

Knife: Light Stab(10) |1

Spear: Light Stab(6) |3

Wooden Shield: Block(1) |4

Bone Sword: Light Stab(15), Deep Stab(10) |5
-------------------

Ofcourse, quite a few more items are needed, and I also need to specifiy and complete the ranged combat systems, especially concerning how much damage a thrown item does, and so on and so forth.
