Ahh, pffhu, where to start.. Well first off the other day I purchased your game from steam (so i'm a PC), and downloaded it onto my computer. Wonderful game. As a matter of fact it's better than most AAA titles that i've seen over the past 2 years. Too inventive to be ignored.
Honestly, I love this game to death. So so much replay value. It reaches it's hand faaaaar out there in areas most large companies would stare at in solemn fear then proceed to cry and stumble while sprinting to their nanny's. First things were first, applaud for an intricate game. I hope you keep your inventive edge in later games and add more depth to it. I remember hearing PC players weren't treated to the same pleasantry as XBOX users. This is slightly disheartening to a PC gamer because, well, lightning likes to strike twice in the game industry. I would dislike seeing you try to veer off towards console because the fan-base for PC is always more loyal unless you can deliver a mindless railroaded video game with nothing but cinematic beauty and a Hollywood storyline, and about as much depth as a retard trying to teach you philosophy," DUH, THIS IS CRAYON". It's becoming more of a family-life venue. Consoles are not for gamers anymore. Only hipsters and children. ((In my opinion that was a good business move to provide an updated version, I just hope you reward the PC players for their compulsive tendencies to be loyal to a devout indie company. They are really the only hope you have. Consoles are dominated by shitty game developers like, oh i dunno, Activision and their lich ruler Bobby Kotick)). But as a continuation of my ramble, I'd just like to say it's really refreshing to see an indie company put this much care into their game. People give it low ratings, but that's because they don't really understand the game. Which was probably the initial reason most game companies cower from ingenious ideas. At first I was confused at the ending, which really threw you for a curve-ball, and I waited after the credits to see what would happen, if there were any secrets, but alas I ended up getting a black screen and the sound of wind (not sure if glitch?) and though this is what most would call an anti-climactic ending, I'd say it's rather fitting for a game like this. Please don't take it as a complaint, it's simply a warning to the ACE team. Consoles players are like 5 year-olds. Flashy flashy. Plus you'd do better on Steam anywho. Aside from me rambling about your game, and making statements about the Console v PC war, what I truly wanted to ask you was when Zeno Clash 2 comes out for P.C. will I be able to expect the same dedication consoles received? I mean I REALLY want to follow you guys, I just don't know whether to stand back and watch or if it's okay to put loyalty mode on full blast (like one would do with Valve co.). P.S. Second story would be awesome if you found out the origin of some of the creatures. For other posters, what is your opinion on Zeno Clash 2? What would you like to see? |

Though there is tiny flaw in the PC version upon further playthrough, and that is hitbox and slight influid combat sequences.
i.e. I have a sword, charge and swing in close but miss. The enemy, at the opposite end at the exact same length, swings his arm and hits me. |

Hi Mr Ninja! Thanks for your very positive comments. About your questions here are a few pointers that hopefully respond your concerns:
-Developing Zeno Clash for the Xbox 360 allowed us to expand our business and enter the console market but never at the cost of forfeiting PC games. We did not anticipatedly plan on making an improved version of Zeno Clash for the consoles -it was a requirement to add new content if we were to re-release a game on the new platform a year after it had debuted. We would have loved to bring that content back to the PC, but being a small studio made this difficult, because we urgently needed to move on to new projects. Not having developed new games could have meant the end of ACE Team! -Now that we have grown more through experience and new partnerships we will develop our future titles for all platforms in parallel (PC, XBox 360 and PS3). Thus, there should not be any difference between versions of our games other than those required by the platform's hardware. -It's important to understand that for a company such as our own entering the console market was an important step that allowed us to grow and create more games, so when you look at the big picture you could say that PC gamers will benefit from this decision. -We will never compromise the quality of our titles because we are making multiple versions. You can always expect the same level of creativity and dedication of our games regardless of the hardware you will be playing them on. Hope this is insightful! |

Alright! Can't wait for Zeno Clash 2 or other ACE titles! Yes, Splash Damage is my other favorite game developer (very different styles and aims of games) and even though I was disappointed with BRINK I always keep my fingers crossed that both SD and ACE can find the resources and desire to expand into mobile devices without diluting their strengths. -------------------- -sere
