Hi all,
Great game, I had a lot of fun playing single player. I would like to test my skills playing against humans, but whenever I check for multiplayer games or create multiplayer games, I see no activity. I run the game through Steam and have tried forwarding my ports per steam recommendations. Maybe just a lack of online gaming community? Would anyone mind adding me on steam so I can test out multiplayer to make sure it is not just a problem with my computer? thanks a lot |

I don't think it's an issue with your system. Apparently most people that are playing are hooking up with friends or using split screen. I suggest you post at the Steam forums, it's more likely people will add you there. I'd expect more online activity after we release a holidays update that will be coming out in December, so stay tuned.

Every friday, a friend and I spend all the night rolling trough the ages (and killing some hundred enemies on Serious Sam)
So, I guess that's what most people do. If the holiday update brings more maps, sure the activity will rise again! |

This is more of a casual game; not the sort of game people play every opportunity they have. And the fact that you find no available games makes you not look for available games and that really just become s a vicious circle...
Honestly, I don't know how viable this would be, but if I made a game like this, I'd make bots with random names always online, so people always think there are other people playing so they would go online more often and would, therefore, find real people to play with. But really I think this just comes down, mostly to the fact that its a casual game (and thats 1v1, so to find an online game, I assume (because I don't have the game) that someone needs to sit alone waiting for a challenger... who, WHO is going to sit alone waiting for more than say... 5 to 10 seconds?). I, for one, am waiting for the PS3 version so I can play split screen on the TV with my bother on weekends. I'm pretty sure I'll play very little single player and probably never going to play online multiplayer. |
