PS3 multiplayer is completely broken. Options

I thought the game was pretty fun but the multiplayer setup is annoying me at the moment. I don't know what is going on here but the multiplayer is broken. It keeps saying I am unable to join a game and when it says "joining game" the entire thing locks up and sometimes I am forced to exit. I even invite friends and they can't join.

No one is able to find a game and sometimes people are locked out of creating a game.

I know it costs money for an update but you must had got some sort of deal for using playstation plus, right?

Agreed! This issue needs to be fixed. I tried for a good hour/ hour and a half this afternoon to play MP, and nothing but "cannot join" or freezes. When I set up a lobby, no one can join. This is a widespread issue.

Can you guys provide detailed repro steps and error description? Are you all experiencing the same issue?

I experiencing the same issues:

Types of errors.

1. When trying to join a friend invite, error occurs, couldn't connect.
2. When trying to join a friend invite, after you click to join it will do nothing and stay in same window.
3. Can't connect to neither of the custom games, even if I create the custom game no one can connect .(tried with more than 10 people and they are having the same issue with other friends).
4. After a while of trying to connect repeatably the game either froze or doesn't allow you to even try to create a lobby.

Please fix the issue, i know it cost money for a update to be release, but to be honest game should be tested to a fully extent before been released for sale. (especially when the game has online trophy's).

Great Game but big disappointment with the online featured bugs, please fix it, and all will be good.

PS: my router has all ports open for games and my NAT is 2, if you wondering. So does the other people I spoke too, experiencing the same problems.

• When searching custom game I always get a connection error message.
• When searching custom game once in awhile it says "joining game" which takes over 5 minutes to load and then says that I couldn't join a game.
• Sometimes when I create a game it says I am unable to even start a lobby.
• When "joining" a game sometimes my screen freezes or locks up.
• My friends who accept my friends invite say they cannot join the game

I have Nat type 2 with 99% connection speed. PS3's online works a tad differently from Steam. I noticed some people can't play online with steam but that's because they didn't port forward, this isn't the case with the PS3.

I have not been able to join any quick matches I get the "Connection error unable to join game"
And I get the same message when I try to join custom matches as well.
Also when I make my own I just sit there and never get joined.

Edit : I would also like to say that I really do enjoy the game despite the problems I'm having with being unable to join multi-player matches.

Maybe it was a last second error?

People confirmed that it works if they have two PS3s in their household both with their own accounts and they both have Rock of Ages installed. Connecting with a random person online outside of your house will not work (unless there is a full blue moon out).

I don't know, I thought that Sony probably did some QA as well as ACE Team (I'm not completely sure though), and whatever Sony gives the okay to is what is sold.

I make a private game and invite my friend. He accepts the invite, but the screen doesn't move for him. It just stays at the main menu and doesn't enter the lobby. However, we can hear each other talking as if we WERE in the same lobby together. I had him make a lobby and the same thing happened to me.

Well when I don't get a connection error I get a 20 minute long "joining game" loading screen only to have that tell me I have a connection error when the 20 minutes are up.

It's very frustrating, I imagine.
