Golem's Heritage.*Speculation, possible SPOILER*, It's a puzzle... Options

Alright...I've played through this game a few times now and recently, I had an Idea when I was fighting those "statues" or "shadows". They are/were an advanced ancient civilization that has been all around Zenozoik, and therefor knew about the entire world and things OUTSIDE Halstedom(as opposed to its citizens). Golem is the last of them. And by "ending it all" he meant educating the citizens of Halstedom about the outside world. The Rubik's Cube is a sign of the fact that they were far ahead of their time, and so was the electricity at the end of the world.
How I got this Idea:
Golem has all that armor on his back, which was probably a regular outfit in that civilization and I recall seeing similar armor on those statues.

Devs, please tell me that I am on to something here, or that I am at least HALF right.

lol, old civilization destroying itself from war leaving Zenozoik as it is today, and Golem being the last archive of knowledge of the old civilzation. lol, obeying his creator's ideals, rather then what in reality they practiced, which was a self-destructive war. lol, commentary on human nature.

Golem also has a strong dislike for the Corwids, which may hint at the ideals Golem, one of them being pursuit of knowledge and thought.

lol once more at the Corwids representing man's habitual nature, and going about daily lives out of habit rather than thought, and the Corwids representing the extreme of absence of thought. It's just what they do, Ghat indicates.
