Thanks for the feedback! The combat system is going to get beefed up, so I guess we will develop some features similar to the ones you are describing. Yay! Gracias. Oh, and thanks one more time for being "good devs". I usually play games with scumbags as devs which don't give a... uh... Tef about the community. |

Hahaha. Thanks! I agree really, some developers are snobs. -------------------- Zeno Clash 2!

You can almost be glad that Zeno Clash didn't turn out to be a massive hit in the gaming community, otherwise such a small team of developers wouldn't be able to deal with the fans.
It's often the case with game developers that they can't be in personal contact with fans because there's just too many of them, and they're not equipped for dealing with that. So they don't, and hire other people to do this: Moderators, support staff, etc. This may seem like snobbery (and some developers undoubtedly are snobs) but it's often just a neccesary evil. So we can all rejoice that Zeno Clash didn't turn out to be a blockbuster. |

I think more people should known of Zeno Clash, there are almost no Zeno Clash servers, I have never been on other ZC servers than my own... Maybe they could deal with more fans, maybe they had to cut some of their spare time, I think they are very nice, maybe they would do this for their fans btw: did you hire *VeLeRoN*? -------------------- |

Ah well, I just wish you guys were successful, had a good time making the game and are willing to do more. At least I had a great time playing it (I actually still do the tower challanges). Oh and by the way, I believe this is kinda suitable: "If you are satisfied and do what you feel you must do, no matter what that is, then you have reached perfection" |

I'm new to the game (just bought it today and freaking love it) but the style of playing seems like it wouldn't be a bad idea to implement in some platforming. Someone mention earlier about Zelda like platforming, but I think it'd be cool to take it to the next level. I remember the fight in the small village like place while Deadra is opening the door and you're fighting the sister and the two brothers. I constantly threw one of them off of the bridge like structure and awaited them to climb up. I also fell off once and alas, died. I think some altitude would be great. Ladders, ropes, jumping, climbing, anything. Some aerial like sniping might be sort of fun too with the musket. As in strategic points that allow you to get the upper hand.
As far as the leveling system goes... that all really depends how massive they plan to make ZC2. After all, Zeno Clash is relatively short. I haven't put much time into and am already towards the end. This isn't a bad thing, but a leveling system would be relatively pointless. However, depending on how ZC2 works out depends on if a leveling system would work. I remember in Advent Rising as you leveled your melee you learned attacks like jumping on big dudes backs and ripping their heads off or something. Might be fun. No Neverwinter Nights like skill system or even Oblivion. More like... well, Advent Rising. An inventory might be sort of cool. Save some guns for later, maybe pick up some fruit to use like health potions. Maybe add in some merchants and a currency. |

Now that you mention inventory... I always wanted to take and use items from other characters in Zeno. Like Rimat's hat... Maybe an option to "loot" items when you defeat someone would be an interesting thing to add to the game.

You know, Draken, that reminds me of the way Ghat's appearance changes throughout the game. At the into sequence he has no arm guard, no face tattoo and regular hair. As a Corwid he wears a mask, has an arm guard but no shoes. After leaving the Corwids he has shoes, the face tattoo, different hair and Metamoq's red face trinket.
This was a really original feature, one that I haven't seen in any other games where character customization wasn't an option. It shows that the characters of Zenozoik are alive and growing, changing, and evolving. That's why I thought you might be able to expand this by allowing the player to also change his appearance using items from other enemies or the environment. If you're using item statistics, you could even give them special attributes such as better blocking or unlocking new moves. |

Thanks for all the great feedback guys. Some of the features being described will be elaborated & maybe developed for the sequel, but I'm not sure at this point. We'll definitely expand the fighting mechanics with some "air" feature

Cool! Really though, I don't think it will effect gameplay.

Maybe it will... you could make him climb over edges like in Dark Messiah Might and Magic (I bet there are more games that support this function, but thats the only one I know)

Clibing along edges would seriously remind me of Tomb Raider, and if I had dual fish guns, that would just be funny.

If you're going to give us jumping it would be a crime not to give us cool jump-kick attacks and things like dropping down on enemies from above.
