Very interesting, though I don't know what "linear" means...

Linear is like "one-way", say Zeno Clash, there is only one way to play through the game, eveything is set, so therefore it is linear.
Oh, ok then I have to say I don't care if its linear or not, I liked it, so they are is misunderstood, I think...
Pretty misunderstood games I agree.
